DIY Hair Conditioning Treatment That Actually Works!

Over the weekend Amy and Sarah decided to make their own hair conditioning treatment. They both felt that there hair was extra dry and looking dull, and they wanted to change that. With a little research on the internet, they figured out which ingredients would be most beneficial to their hair, and this is what they came up with.

Ingredients:
Two Applications
- 1/4 cup honey (not pictured)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup lemon juice

Add all ingredients together. Whisk them in a small bowl. The consistency should be about the thickness of pancake mix.

Add the mixture to your hair focusing on the ends. Wrap hair in a towel and let the mixture set on your hair for about 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, rinse your hair with COOL water. This is important so that the egg doesn't cook in your hair. Amy and Sarah learned this the hard way, oops!

Do not shampoo your hair for at least 12 hours after. It is probably best to do this treatment at night because your hair will feel a little oily afterwards, but when you shampoo and condition your hair the next day it will feel amazingly soft and shiny! Take a look at Amy and Sarah's results.

  2. This sounds interesting but my only question is do you have to use your regular conditioner? Or can you simply just shampoo & get the results?
