Easy Chai Tea

Today was a beautiful fall day. The sun was shining, and there was just the right amount of chill in the air. My girl friend and her baby boy came over, and we decided to make some hot chai tea to drink while we watched our babies play.

Easy Chai Tea

Makes 4 cups

Ingredients

- 2 teaspoons of cardamom
- 2 teaspoons ground clove
- pinch of pepper
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 bags black tea
- 8 teaspoons sugar or more, to taste

Directions

1. Place the cardamom, ground clove, pepper, cinnamon sticks, ground ginger, milk, and 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.

2. Remove from heat, add the tea bags, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes.

3. Strain into cups. To each cup, add 2 teaspoons sugar or more, to taste.

The chai tea turned out amazing! Believe it or not, we both agreed it was even better than Starbucks!
