Dark Spot Corrector: Should You Splurge?

I am 26 years old yet still have to deal with acne and post acne spots. I would have never thought when I was younger that this would be the case but it is, and I've come to accept it. Well, this past spring I kept seeing commercials for Clinique's Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. The advertisement guaranteed all skin tones would see results after 4 weeks. It sounded too good to be true. I really wanted to try it, but usually I don't spend that much money on skin products (around $75 for 1.7 oz, eek!). My birthday was at the end of May, so I decided to wait until then and purchase the item for myself. Happy birthday to me! Ok, long story short, I used the dark spot corrector as advised for nearly 8 weeks and was very unimpressed. I didn't notice one single change in my skin. I was disappointed with it to say the least.

Well, a few days later I was shopping at Target, and I saw the Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector (only about $12 for 1.7 oz, yippee!) and thought, I would try it out. I LOVE IT! Not only did it help erase my dark spots, it really has helped with my skin overall, and I have had noticeably less acne and clear skin!

I just wanted to share my experiences with these two products so maybe you will try a cheaper solution first before splurging for something that (in my opinion) doesn't even work! I hope this helped!
